Hi Johann. this looks like just what I need, just do not like the yoga where one is upside down head facing the wall………………..I have been through a really tough time emotionally over the past 3 years until recently sitting at my little sisters bedside until she passed. I felt at peace at the time as she had suffered with multiple myeloma for some time, had a stem cell transplant. I had made her journey part of mine understandably since we treasured our close sibling relationship. I have never felt such pain ever and her wish for me always was to ‘live in the now’ almost her last words to me prior going to intensive care. So since I promised to watch over her 3 young daughters and husband, only watch over and not too much, I have a wonderful life but need healing. This time is about right as I will be able to afford the break then. I have read your details and reckon I should try and make the early bird special. Would appreciate knowing more about the few days retreat in September. Thanks so much x Leigh

Apologies Leigh, for such late reply. This retreat could be just the thing for you. Most of my classes are with healing intent, and the weekend is meant to be relaxing. There will be some stronger sessions on the retreat but nothing impossible. One can skip those anyway. Early Bird still possible – me not checking the comments on the page!

    Hi Johann ?

We’ve been in correspondence on FB in regards to my photographic wave series – you, me and the sea.
    I hope you are well!

I would love to hve a one on one yoga session with you. My body is in a lot of pain & I feel a one on one session before I join group sessions is in order.

Will you be able to help me this week?

    Warm regards,

As you noticed I missed your request/comment before you got here on the other class special :-)) By all means a 1-1 is a good idea, still, there is a R 200 special for a new person sign-up. Sure that will help alleviate the pain problem. Just email me or use the contact form (you have my email) to arrange.

Thank you so much for this book! I have done yoga on and off for quite a few years, but it was only when I read the Five Keys to Well-Being and listened to the podcasts that I understood that yoga is about so much more than suppleness or relaxation. Following these easy yet mind-blowingly wonderful practices has made me feel healthier (fewer aches and pains), fitter, stronger and more confident. I feel empowered to nourish and nurture all the underlying systems in my body – muscles, lymph, blood, bones, heart, lungs, etc. and to give my body what it needs to be well. And this wellness helps to feed my spirit, and keep me open to what is. I can’t recommend the Five Keys highly enough.

Hello, we would like a week of surfing and yoga as part of our honey moon.

Is it possible to come as a couple rather than in a group?

We would like to be able to attend daily yoga and meditation classes but also to have plenty of free time to go surfing and exploring on our own, is this possible with you? If so can you tell me how much it would cost for a double room for 2 people for 1 week with 2 yoga classes per day?

    Many thanks

    Thank you Johann

This ties in with what I have been thinking about lately….life is about a power balance. The world is full of “underpowered” people (or people who give their power away) and “overpowered” people who use manipulation and domination to gain control (aka psychopaths).

Real power is being able to remain calm and centred in the face of rejection, grief, criticism. It is an inner love. The more we build up this inner love/prana the less likely we are to let external events affect our peace and calm.

Hi I am looking for prices and information about a 3 night: Surf/Yoga camp in Cape Town from 10-13th January 2019.
I am arriving into Cape Town lunch time on 9th and plan to stay 1 night central before perhaps joining 1 of your camps.
Can you please send details, pricing and timings and what is included. Can you also advise on what is a safe way to travel from the Waterfront area to Muizenberg on 10th and on 13th how could I get to the airport?
Will there be any free time during the day?
How safe is the area for a single female like myself?
Do you provide wet suits for surfing?
When booking do I need to pay a deposit?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Sarah. I’m referring you to the Cape Town Surf Yoga desk for details of booking.
Should you like more than the one yoga class at Cape Town Surf Yoga I can add a class per day at my studio a few minutes away, so you can have one or two, Am and PM, classes per day.
But yes, there wetsuits included in the lessons. Travel options from Waterfront is by Uber to train station, train to Muizenberg right at Surfers Corner (direct trip).
Or uber all the way city to mzb (approx 40 minutes).
The area is safe when exercising common sense. Don’t walk alone in the mountains, or on tracks and pathways in isolation.
Uber to airport, which is approx 40 minutes from Muizenberg.
