Yoga is an all natural, cutting edge technology. Currently trending as a popular exercise and well-being practice the yoga lore says the “original” yoga is as old as time. Yoga is essentially an “organic” practice, where the adjective means ” relating to or derived from living matter”. An “organic” diet ethos is reflected in many parallel trends such as veganism. While diet is important in holistic yoga what defines it is it’s emphasis on improvement of the flow of Life Force or Prana into the body, to stimulate health, and activate conscious awareness. According to the “original yoga” philosophy the Creator and Creation is All That Is, a presence beyond ordinary reality understanding. Mysterious and perhaps flakey to some it makes sense in that no-one really knows all the facts of existence. Neither does yoga, but the sustained practice of full spectrum yoga techniques and metaphysical philosophy, does reveal a profound, unsurpassed understanding of natural based universal intelligence – see the word concepts of the above diagram. Yoga is an organic technology of tremendous capacity to tune human beings to highly evolved levels of consciousness. The chakra system is part of a magnificent physical-energetic structure that enables the bodymind to interact with immediate and distant energy fields. The chakra interface is 100% nature intelligence because the bodymind itself is the device. No manmade technology is required. In yoga only the breath, body and mind itself is used to balance and stimulate the medical and esoteric functions of the endocrine system. Each chakra corresponds to a gland that regulates the body chemistry and nervous system. Together these systems influence the state of mind as much as the state of mind influences them, and how we are as human beings. This is why the chakras are a bridge interface between All That Is and the flesh and bone reality. Sunrise is the most spectacular daily event on Earth. Muizenberg is blessed with a mountain that meets the beach – an excellent place for a soulful adventure or yoga for the soul.

Due to weather conditions a love of outdoors with a serious sense of fun and unstoppable enthusiasm is sometimes required – but particpants always come away energised.

As worthwhile and commendable as chasing a sunrise is. Conditions tend towards windy here at Cape Town City’s Deep South, that’s why our Sunrise Yoga Events are frequent but not regular.

Ocean Balm Ambient Music – Stream the Dream

A recent video clip from a Muizenberg Beach sunrise when I went for a morning run. Had awesome creative fun turning it into a short video to promote my Being Ambient Music. You can stream literally hours and hours of my music just from iTunes to Youtube and, although most South Africans can’t access it, Spotify. Please stream my dream! It’s free for users but online music streaming has become the leading source of income for modern musicians like myself. The more you stream, the more I can dream up co-creations. It’s a win-win.

The beach scene is right in front of my seaview Yoga Studio on Beach Road, and I used another clip for a new “Best of” ambient music playlist of my music. It starts of with an ocean inspired track and ends of with a yoga chant that, like the ocean, stimulates intuitive co-creation in harmony with cognitive guidance.

Vigorous asana invigorate

Yey for Johann! I just graduated to a proper Instagram Yogi. After my beach yoga practice on a fairly windy Muizenberg summer beach at sunrise this morning, I took a whole set of selfies by just standing the phone up, setting the timer to 10 seconds, tapping the round button and posing (haha pun intended). My asana kicks your asana kind of thing? Check out my “whatever asana” invention middle row right. 10 seconds after pressing the button I was nicely caught out halfway between a coffee table and backflip reverse down dog of sorts

Vigorous asana practice invigorate. Deep breathing during, and pranayama after, more than doubles the vitality. The resulting Prana flow to the body-brain intelligence is remarkable. Stillness and inner power is then placed at the center of whatever follows… meditation, or doing things that require doing. #asana #beachyogi #capetown #muizenberg #pranaflow

P.s. The last note in my text very much refers to the choice of how to apply the energy generated by physical yoga practice, to be mindful to save some of this vitality for self-enquiry. After all a main purpose of “doing yoga” is to generate dynamic energy to undo all the doing that keeps one trapped in spinning wheel mode!
